Setting up your email account using IMAP protocol on Android Mobiles

1.Tap the Email app on your phone.

2.In Add Mail Account;

In Your Name enter: your Name or your company name whatever you want your recipients see when they receive an email from you.

In Email Address enter : your email address (i.e userrname@yourdomain.com).

Then in Password enter :your password.

3.Click on Manual Setup.

4.Here, you can choose a type of email accounts. For this tutorial, select IMAP account.

5.In Incoming mail server

In IMAP Server enter: incoming servers you received in your welcome email (I.e ….enter: ds01.nilehosting.com or leap.nilehosting.com).

In user name enter : your email address (i.e userrname@yourdomain.com).

In Password enter :your password.

In Port : 143

In Root Folder Path enter : INBOX.

6.Click Next.

7.In Outgoing mail server

Mark right in the Require Sign in Box

In SMTP Server enter: incoming servers you received in your welcome email (I.e ….enter: ds01.nilehosting.com or leap.nilehosting.com ).

In Port : 25 or 587

In user name enter : your email address (i.e userrname@yourdomain.com).

In Password enter :your password.

8.Click Next.

9.On Account options screen;

Select the timing for Email check frequency

Click Sync Email

Click Notify me when email arrives.

10.Final Data

Give this account a name : (account will be labeled as such for your reference)

Your Name : (the name that will be displayed when your recipients reads your email)

11.Click Done.

Congratulations! You may now start using your account.
