Redirecting a domain name




Redirects allow you to make a specific web page redirect to another page and display the contents of that page.and this way you can make a page with a long URL accessible by a page which has a shorter and easier to remember URL , also it will allow you to make specific web page redirect to onther page and display the content of that page.

To create redirecting domain,follow the steps below:

1.Log into your control panel (Cpanel) through write in Browser tab : yourdomain.com/cpanel

2.Enter the username and password

3.Go to Domains > Redirects.

4.In Add Redirect :

  • In type choose : permanent.

N.B : permanent redirect will notify the visitor's browser to update any bookmarks that are linked to the page that is being redirected. Temporary redirects will not update the visitor's bookmarks.

  • In http://(www.)? choose : the domain you want to redirect (i.e...yourdomain1.com).
  • In redirect to enter: the domain you redirect to (i.e...yourdomain2.com).

N.B : Redirect must begin with a protocol, (i.e.... http:// )

  • In www. redirection choose : Redirect with or without www.

5.Click Add.

Congratulation !Now your domain yourdomain1.com redirect to yourdomain2.com
